What happened:

fail to initialize cloud from secret xxx : list Zones: ClientSecretCredential: Unable to resolve an endpoint: context deadline exceeded

What you expected to happen:

cloud provider SDK is able to initialize successfully.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):

Follow tutorial from rancher website, create a single node RKE2 cluster and configure azure cloud provider using provided YML files.

Environment:

  • Kubernetes version (use kubectl version): "v1.33.3+rke2r1"
  • Cloud provider or hardware configuration: Azure VM (single cluster setup for dev/test using RKE2)
  • OS (e.g: cat /etc/os-release):

  • Install tools:
  • Network plugin and version (if this is a network-related bug): Canal
  • Others:
    ClientId, ClientSecret are verified to be working, and I am able to obtain Azure Access token from management control plane.
  • cloud-provider-azure: Installed version 1.33.3 using Helm Chart
