Save previously selected Entry and Preview Panel selection for restart

Brief Summary

Currently, the first entry in alphabetical order is always selected when restarting. For people like me who display entries in their own order (which is fortunately already saved), this selected and often completely uninteresting entry also appears somewhere in the table, as the table always starts with the first entry (scroll position at the top).

It would also be useful to save the Preview Panel selection, such as “Autotype”.

The previously selected entry is restored after a lock/unlock. However that is not persisted across sessions of keepassxc (like after a reboot). Most users would find that annoying, I know I would. It could be a database option though. It would force a save every time you locked your database though.

What do you mean by “It would force a save everything you locked your database though.”? So it can't be solved simply via the .ini file?

The current situation with marking and displaying an entry in the preview panel somewhere from the table in unsorted view or from the end of the table when sorted Z-A is strange and looks to me like a bug or a design flaw.

Then at least the first entry in the selected sort order should be marked. Do you agree?

It should already select the first entry in the list on the FIRST unlock of the database

This does not work with custom sorting or Z-A sorting. Neither after restarting the system nor after only closing and restarting the application. Both of which you probably mean by “FIRST unlock.”

The first entry in the alphabet is always marked.

This appears to be a bug.

Alternatively, no entry could be selected if it is not possible to take the sort order into account.
