How to auth against private registry during installation?

The kairos docs say to use XDG HOME, but what is that for the installer?

I tried using k3s' location, but the bundle wasn't deployed. Any suggestions?

From the docs:

${XDG_CONFIG_HOME}/.docker/config.json
    If set, DOCKER_CONFIG environment variable which points to a directory [as per the docs](https://docs.docker.com/reference/cli/docker/#environment-variables).
    ${XDG_RUNTIME_DIR}/containers/auth.json for podman

did you try to set DOCKER_CONFIG manually? Also from the link above:

If you are using sudo to perform the upgrade, you have a couple of options:

    You can create the file /root/.docker/config.json with your credentials.
    You can use sudo --preserve-env to give sudo access to the relevant environment variables.

Yes, at this point, I've discovered the file isn't being written ( root docker config.json )

I was able to write the file, but the bundle still didn't install
