Why not snake case?

I understand the PascalCased and kebab-cased, but why not the snake case? I was thinking of putting Python related code next to the components, and allowing snake case would let the related files stay close to each other.

So instead of this:

components/
|- component-bar.jinja
|- component-foo.jinja
|- component_bar.py
|- component_foo.py

We can have this:

components/
|- component_bar.jinja
|- component_bar.py
|- component_foo.jinja
|- component_foo.py
