The "now playing" icon keeps coming back

Thanks for a great app, it works flawlessly with one small issue. The "now playing" icon (which comes into existence every time I use Spotify) does not seem to obey my chose to put it in the "hidden" category. Is this a known issue? I've hidden it 3 times in 3 days now, but it keeps returning.
