Set initial duration when tracking time

When tracking time, it would be nice to be able to set initial duration, and start tracking from that. My usecase is when I start doing something, but forget to set tracking.

Now I have to create two journal entries – one for already done ativity, and second – start tracking from 0. I'd like to avoid this.

I'd like to add to this that the "Duration" time (required when completing a task) should be optional. If I don't set it then it's because I don't care how long something took, I only care that the task has been completed.
