Tab Genius ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding your data when you use our browser extension.
Tab Genius collects the following types of data to provide its tab organization functionality:

Analytics Data: Anonymous usage data is sent to PostHog analytics servers to help improve the extension. This data does not include any personally identifiable information, tab content, or URLs.

No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share any of your data with third parties beyond the anonymous analytics described above.

No External Servers: Tab Genius does not maintain any external servers that collect or store your data beyond the analytics service.

Temporary Processing: Tab content is only accessed and analyzed temporarily during the categorization process and is not permanently stored by the extension.

Local Storage: Your extension settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.

Optional Features: You can choose which AI model to use for categorization, including privacy-focused local options.

Extension Permissions: You can review the permissions required by Tab Genius in your browser's extension settings.

Analytics Opt-Out: While we don't currently provide a built-in opt-out for analytics, you can use browser privacy features or content blockers to prevent analytics data collection if desired.

Uninstallation: You can uninstall the extension at any time, which will remove all locally stored settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Chrome Web Store listing and updating the "Last Updated" date.
