@VarunBhandia Currently when searching for a term in a filter (e.g. Signal transduction in Pathway), the user has to click one of the suggested terms in order to apply the filter. This is done in this way so that users that don't know the exact available terms in each possible can get suggestions of the available terms, according to the written text.

The thing is, some users are more experienced and actually know the exact term they want to filter on, thus they just write it and press enter. The problem is that the enter event is not currently listened, so it doesn't do anything, you need to click one of the suggestions (as described in the previous paragraph).

So we want to do 2 things here:

1. Catch the enter key event on the filters where you need to write text.
2. Before adding the filter when the user press the enter key, it's required to check that the term actually exists, and display an error message if not. This is due to the fact that accepting free text allows the user to write actually anything, so the thing it's filtering with may not exist.

@AdrianBZG sir can we have a select2 . In this, by default, the first suggestion is clicked on pressing Enter if the word is not written completed.

Although I am getting what the user has typed in the input field. The handler triggers when enter is pressed. Can you tell me where to send the term? I will send the first response to get the table.

@VarunBhandia I'm not sure that we need select2, as the fields are inputs instead of selects. The idea is to catch the event of pressing the enter key, check if the term is valid (returns at least 1 row when asking intermine for values with that term?), and if it is, just do the same logic as in https://github.com/intermine/InterMine-Data-Browser-Tool/blob/master/src/js/common.js#L729.
