Text gets cut off in menu

So some of the options (like when trying to load into a btrfs snapshot for example) are lengthy and they end up getting cut off so I cannot view the entire thing. I do not know if this project is still maintained, but if it is, is there a way to extend the "text box" where all the options are stored so you can view longer entries in grub.

Thanks for trying bsol @yugms. Can you share screenshots, cause I don't use btrfs nor I understand the problem. Maybe others may help or if possible, I can try, assuming I have time and patience to deal with this. Are the other grub themes showing the same issues?

@harishnkr Sorry for not clarifying it has nothing to do with BTRFS in any sort of way. I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like. Some of the lines in the grub selection menu get cut off.

Thanks for the information @yugms. At the moment, I can only think of one way to see the entries, and that is by adding a font with a smaller font size. I have provided documentation on how to create and place the font of a particular font size in the Readme documentation. This way the entries will be smaller.

Another method would be to rename the entries using tools such as grub customizer, where you can shorten the name. But it will be tedious if the snapshots are constantly updated.

I have to read the documentation for other ideas. I'll update if I found any other option.

@harishnkr Is there a way for the entries to utilize all of the horizontal space on the screen? As about 15-20% of my screen is just not being used so is there a way to extend the entries such that they won't get cut off?

@yugms I've checked and as per my understanding, text wrapping is not possible in grub. You can truncate the entries based on rules, but I doubt you can push the remaining text below.

Nevertheless I'm not conclusive in my opinion. There would be some workarounds.

@yugms I do not use this theme, but could your issue be fixed by something as simple as changing menu width? If you look at the provided theme.txt file, in the section titled:

+ boot_menu {

menu width is set at 47%:

width = 47%

What happens if you change this line to:

width = 60%

(for example) before reinstalling the theme?

WARNING: If your chosen width is larger than the screen, GRUB may distort the entries or even refuse to show them up. Don't panic, though: only the display is affected, and GRUB will still work as usual (meaning, loading your default entry after a few seconds).
