• Markor is up to date. See Releases for the latest version. Updates are available from F-Droid and GitHub.
• The wanted feature/enhancement is not present in the latest development version (git master). (Please download and try the test version of Markor, named Marder. Don't worry; Markor and Marder appear as completely separate applications. You can install both side-by-side, and Markor's settings are not touched. If your desired feature is present, you don't need to open this issue. The change will be part of the next Markor update.)

1. Creating a .php file and pasting code didn’t issue code highlightning. Is it feasible as in Vim?

No, but in view mode there should be in markdown php syntax highlighting. But not for editor.

Syntax highlighting in edit mode is quite basic but perfectly sufficient for the primary purpose, which is Markdown. This is unlikely to change, or else we're risking making Markor a piece of bloatware. You can get fancy syntax highlighting in view mode though.

Closing as don't plan to make huge programming language specific implementation for Markor edit mode. For view mode you already get meaningful syntax highlighting for most languages.
