some of the ai code is bad

like you dont need a double underscore `__` if you're going to make the variable local anyway (in shlex.gs). I think the ai code should just have a light refactoring because it's not very idiomatic. if someone wants to contribute to this or wants to use it as a reference, it's not a very good one
