Font not showing up as an option on some of the UI elements in Visual Studio 2019

Hello. This is my first time creating issue on a project thus I apologize in advance for any potential mistakes.

In “Fonts and Colors” settings in Visual Studio 2019, I noticed that for some options. None of the Monaspace fonts aside from the “variable” ones are listed in the font list. (For example, if I have all of static, variable and nerd font version of a Monaspace typeface installed. I can set either of those as Text editor font but only variable font can be set as Environment font.) Furthermore if I select those Monaspace variable fonts, then text displayed would be italicized. If needed, I can provide screenshots.

Hi! It sounds like Visual Studio 2019 doesn't have proper support for variable fonts, which would definitely explain the italicization issue and might be causing the font list issue as well. I'd recommend uninstalling the variable fonts if you can't upgrade to a newer version of the program, and see if the problems persist.
