It would be great if this Github Action supported a configuration option to change the container runtime binary to something like podman for pulling and running the container image.

Hey @StephenShamakian ! Thanks for opening this issue. Can you help me understand more about what you mean by wanting to be able to pull the container image from podman. I'm not familiar with podman so I'll take all the extra hints you can give me 😄 .

@zkoppert Sure, podman is essentially the open source version of docker. (https://podman.io/) It runs all the same commands as docker but doesn't have a license requirement tied to it for Business use. For example we don't have docker installed on our Self hosted GitHub Action Runners. Just Podman. This is because Docker requires licenses. Podman does not.
