ive got the same issue but with Unix Makefiles

ive figured out how to fix it, make sure youre using the right cmake from visual studio and use the cmake commands from the third chapter of the getting started guide :)

So, do I select "C++ CMake tools for Windows" in the "optional" panel in VS installer instead of getting CMake from the website?
