Split container triggers refresh already when mouse hovers over the splitter (no click action, splitter gets highlighted)

I have noticed that a refresh is triggered already when the mouse is hovered over the splitter with no further interaction with the splitter or any form of resizing/changing. When moving the mouse across quickly to the other side, the refresh is not triggered.

Is this refresh premature, i.e. triggered before necessary?

• Yes, this is under the assumption that there is an expensive refresh involved, as otherwise it would be negligible.
• I notice partly due to the refresh may be causing recent user actions to shift out of view.
