AsyncTypeahead renders old options before new options

Hi,

I noticed some odd behavior from AsyncTypeahead.
As shown in GIF below, the typeahead renders old options for a short period before rendering new options.
I was wondering if this a bug or intended. It would make more sense to clear the dropdown options before rendering new options.
