Warcraft III borderless?

I play Warcraft III (not reforged) over LAN with friends yearly.
I'd like to run it in borderless mode on windows 10.
I'm running latest release, set ingame resolution to 1920x1080x32 (my native resolution) and set
D3d8to9 = 1
I'm using d3d8.dll as stub, which seems to work correctly.
I tried the following:
EnableWindowMode (1 and 0)
FullscreenWindowMode (1 and 0)
DisableMaxWindowedMode (1 and 0)
In all combinations.

Two results I get:
Game runs borderless, but I can't alt+tab out of it. Tabbing to another application does nothing.
Game runs fullscreen.

I obviously want borderless with alt+tabbing.
I also tried running it via shortcut with -windowed flag, which results in window being run with no borders, but it's not fullscreen, despite settings menu saying the resultion is correct. I attached a screenshot of that behaviour.
Anything else you recommend trying?

My post isn't a response; I'll simply add some information about this game that might be useful for comfortable gaming. I use dxwrapper (with the following settings: D3d8to9 = 1, DisableGDIGammaRamp = 1, AnisotropicFiltering = 8, and AntiAliasing = 8). You'll need the FPSUnlocker.mix and RenderEdge_Widescreen.mix plugins. The former is used to remove the 64 fps hardlock, and the latter is for widescreen. To display videos fullscreen at 1920-1080, you need to edit the game.dll file. In offsets A88D18 through A88E90, you need to replace all integers from 640-480 (I don't remember the exact values) with 1920-1080. I'll attach the file containing it and the plugins; I'm using the same version as you.

As a result, you will get a fully working old version of the game (as we know, all versions after are full of hundreds of bugs) in full widescreen resolution.

To fix the wide mouse cursor and logos, I made simple fixes to the game models. Just place the UI folder and the game folder, you should have the option to enable local files in the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III param "Allow Local Files"=1

I think Mitradis brings up a good point with v1.26: what version are you playing? 1.27b was the last official stand-alone patch. 1.29.2 was the last version of "classic" WC3 that used .MPQ (newer versions use CASC). 1.29.2 fixes the stretched UI, has better fonts and combined the TFT and RoC executables into one file (letting you swap between RoC/TFT in-game). These versions support native D3D9 and OpenGL 2 with -opengl for 1.27b and -graphicsapi OpenGL2 and -graphicsapi Direct3D9 for 129.2. The very last version of "classic" was 1.31.1 which has a 64bit binary and uses D3D11.

If you want to make the game windowed, just use gamescope. It makes the game think it is still fullscreen and can omit the window decorations to look like the game is a borderless window.

After version 1.26a, there's been a catastrophic increase in bugs. And it's not even about them, or rather, not only about them. If you want to play the way you did 24 years ago, you should play 1.26a. After this version, any modifications to the game are no longer the original game.
