Claude Code integration - get error "Your credit balance is too low "

Question

I try to use claude code integration in Theia IDE. But I receive messages like this:

400 {"type":"error","error":{"type":"invalid_request_error","message":"Your credit balance is too low to access the Anthropic API. Please go to Plans & Billing to upgrade or purchase credits."},"request_id":"req_011CWxxxxxxxxxxRF"}

I have claude code installed on my linux machine. I have a 'pro plan' licence. I can work with claude.code in terminal window. But it seems not to work in Theia? What could be the reason for this error message?

Have you entered a Anthropic API key in Theia?

yes I think so.

I already tested this. If I enter a wrong key I got:

401 {"type":"error","error":{"type":"authentication_error","message":"invalid x-api-key"},"request_id":"req_011CWRBf7fJZW3qt9hh3LgCi"}

So there seems to be some communication...

Also in the agent configuration I can see the tick symbols on the claude models.

It looks like I'm out of luck. Neither with my local Mistral Nemo model nor with Claude.

But anyway. For now, I wish you all a 🔔🔔🔔 Merry Christmas 🔔🔔🔔, and then we can take care of again the trivial problems of these world ;-)

If you enter an Anthropic Key, it will be used and yours seems to have insufficient fonts. Try removing the key altogether.
