We can make models by subclassing \Timber\Post.

However note that this makes the class difficult to test. We'll need to find a solution for that.

This might be useful for this: https://timber.github.io/docs/v2/guides/class-maps/#the-post-class-map (makes binding post types to specific models much easier). Only Timber 2.0, though 1.0 has the similar (but deprecated) Timber/PostClassMap.

I think the problem of testing a child class can be solved in Kahlan by doing something like this:

beforeEach(function () {
        allow('The\Namespaced\ParentClass')->toReceive('__construct');
        $this->childClass = new The\Namespaced\ChildClass();
    });
