[Bug] Displaying and animating multiple years of data is stuttery

I do not know if this was introduced by the adapative speed control or was always a problem.

When displaying multiple years of data, the framerate drops dramaticly. This is especially visible when using the replay function.

Also, switching between bundled and normal does not reset the time bounds on the time control and leads to invalid time when trying to animate later.
