after pnpm dev,I got this error in Chrome:

1. pnpm dlx create-crxjs,Select Vanilla and Typescript,pnpm install and pnpm dev
2. Visit chrome://extensions/,click Load unpacked and load dist folder

Below are the answers to the two questions you raised:

1. Yes, I ran the template code directly without making any modifications.
2. Following the steps you provided, the same issue occurred.

In fact, before submitting this issue, I also found the wxt issue you mentioned and tried this solution

But neither worked.

1. The language I am running is Chinese
2. The command netstat -ano | findstr ":5137" returns no output. Also, I would like to ask what this 5137 means, as this may help me further troubleshoot the issue
3. No antivirus software is installed
4. It should have nothing to do with Volta. I have migrated to mise, but the problem still persists (thanks for the reminder; I didn't notice that Volta is no longer maintained)
5. This issue may indeed be related to my local environment rather than crxjs, because some code in chrome-extensions-samples reports the same error on my computer. For example, tutorial.reading-time will throw an error, but tutorial.hello-world works normally. I will continue to try to find out the cause of this error

hmm then maybe it is something with the encoding - the tutorial.reading-time sample contains a stopwatch emoji ⏱️ in the source code, the other working doesnt.

1. Remove the emoji it and try again.
2. I would check if it happens on a fresh google chrome profile, and on canary release.

4. Maybe it is something with git client encoding - try to download the google samples using the githubs download as zip feature
