Solution to issue cannot be found in the documentation.
Issue
I am unable to link against python with the m2w64-toolchain if I use the latest libpython (2.3). Reverting to libpython 2.2 fixes this issue. However, that only support python <= 3.12.
From the comments under #16 I gather that the import libraries were removed when libpython was updated to 2.3, with the note that "We don't need this package anymore." Does that mean that using m2w64-toolchain to build python-dependent code is no longer supported from python 3.13 upward? I appreciate that m2w64-toolchain is old and the new UCRT-based toolchain would be preferable here, but we are unable to use that currently due to a dependence on msmpi, which does not support the UCRT toolchain yet.
