Automations don't trigger when tasks are not adjacent ( with workaround ) #1949

Description

Context

Studio name: TETSUO animation studio
Kitsu version: latest
Production type: 3D

Describe the bug

Autmations only work after moving them on the settings page and triggering them once if they are not adjacent tasks. For some weird reason it starts to work after moving them next to each other and then moving them apart again.

  1. Create a new task column - mine is called Client Review.
  2. Create a new automation - make sure the triggering task and the recieving task are not adjacent ( If your workflow is animation > setup > lighting > render > client review, 'animation' should trigger 'render' or 'client review' not the adjacent next step lighting.
  3. Add the automation to the project and try triggering it ( after reloading the page )
  4. Automation won't work
  5. Sort tasks in project setting so they are adjacent, reload the page and try triggering the automation
  6. Automation now works
  7. Now you can move the task to the end again and the automation will keep working.
