The heatmaps function cannot collect scroll depth data

Hey guys,

The PostHog heatmaps feature relies on the full PostHog JavaScript SDK (posthog-js), which needs direct access to the page DOM, scroll events, and other browser APIs to track scroll depth and mouse movements.

Our app you installed uses Shopify Web Pixels, which run in a sandboxed environment. Because of that sandboxing, web pixels have very limited access to page information - they cannot observe scroll depth, element positions, or most user interactions needed for heatmaps. That’s not something we can work around inside a web pixel.

To get scroll depth and full heatmap functionality, you’ll need to add the standard PostHog JS snippet directly to your theme or use the JS feature in the app.
