"None" and "Open" statuses difference

Hello. Can somebody explain me the difference of the "None" and "Open" task statuses?

My 2 pence.
These two are provided by default and if you are happy to have them then interpretation is up to you.
My case: I am happy to have them and my interpretation is Open = TODO, None = Backlog.

AFAIK, it's up to you to what they mean. The way I use them, I have a keyboard shortcut to quickly create new TaskNotes, and everything defaults to None. Once I get around to triage new notes, I then move it to Open, because it's not really ready to work until that point.
