Feature Description

Support for blurred or translucent backgrounds to widgets in Voltra. This would allow widgets to have a modern, glass-like appearance with background blur effects (similar to iOS/macOS design patterns) or semi-transparent backgrounds that adapt to the content behind them.

Problem Statement

Currently, widgets in Voltra appear to have solid backgrounds, which can make them feel visually heavy and less integrated with the overall interface. Modern UI design patterns often use blurred or translucent backgrounds to create depth and visual hierarchy while maintaining readability.

You can use activityBackgroundTint: 'clear' in the lockScreen variant. This property is currently missing from the documentation, but I’ll add it shortly.

I just realized you were referring to widgets, not Live Activities. In the case of widgets, we can say that the system may safely remove the widget’s background. However, achieving full transparency in all contexts isn’t possible without relying on private APIs or screenshot-based workarounds. Therefore, this is currently out of scope for Voltra.

Feel free to reopen this issue if you find a Swift-based solution that doesn’t rely on private APIs.
