Description
Hi Guys
I have a lot of folders in my main windows google drive account and I do not want to see all of those folders in my linux machine so I created a separate google drive account for linux like below.
Windows11
windows machine user: anish
googledrive username: anishwindows***@gmail.com
Fedora41
fedora machine user: anishjp
googledrive username: anishfedora***@gmail.com
Unison Profile setup
First root: /home/anishjp/.cache/google-drive
Second root: /home/anishjp/GoogleDrive
I shared (read & write) all the folders that I wanted to see and edit in fedora from windows. I can see all the shared folders and files in linux but when I try to sync after editing & saving an existing file, it throws me the below error
.shared/Notebooks/Python Notebook 19-05-2025.odt — transport failure
• Error in renaming /home/anishjp/.cache/google-drive/.shared/Notebooks/.unison.Python Notebook 19-05-2025.odt.aa8e40638847a4acdf6a13f120a7a28c.unison.tmp to /home/anishjp/.cache/google-drive/.shared/Notebooks/Python Notebook 19-05-2025.odt:
Permission denied [rename(/home/anishjp/.cache/google-drive/.shared/Notebooks/.unison.Python Notebook 19-05-2025.odt.aa8e40638847a4acdf6a13f120a7a28c.unison.tmp)]
If anybody has a similar setup and have figured out how to solve this, please guide me. Also any troubleshooting ideas are welcome!
