I did a little more testing. It seems the issue actually happens when you stop playback in Pro Tools. So the first time you ad the Sidechain and press play things are ok, but when you press stop it's like the audio gets stuck in a buffer or something? I tried to turn off Dynamic Plugin processing in PT but this didn't help. I also tried side chains with other plugins in PT to see if it was a PT issue but every other plugin seems to work fine with side chains, it just AG misbehaving. @apohl79 - I'm not a plugin dev (can do PHP for web and a little bit of Python but that's about it) but if there's anything I can do or test to help with this let me know! Glad to put some time in. |

How in the world did you get it running??? It just crashes on me. I'm running MacOS 15.7.2 and the latest Pro Tools |

Hi apohl79.
Firstly, let me say a huge thank you. I'm really impressed with this app! It works really well and I can't believe it's free and not more widely used and talked about. I've just doubled my CPU power!
There seems to be an issue with Sidechaining in pro tools. If I assign one to the AG plugin then press play, all audio get stuck (at a very high volume) and I have to then restart pro tools to get audio back.
Everything works great if I don't assign a side chain in PT though. I'm testing this on the latest version of Pro Tools - 2025.10,MacOS 14.6.1 Intel mac for the plugin, and MacOS 15.6.1 M3 for the server.
Here's a screenshot of what happens, as you can see the meters are stuck at that level - they jump up and down slightly but I do have to mute my monitors!
I'm more than happy to contribute to the continued development of this plugin, like I said I can't believe it's free!
