[Feature Request] Support for rotated videos

Please add support for videos that have been flagged to be rotated. MP4 uses the "rotation" tag, MKV / WEBM uses the "roll" header (ProjectionPoseRoll), there may be some others I'm unaware of. Currently, landscape videos that have been rotated to portrait still show landscape thumbnails, and vice versa.

Rotation should be handled correctly for both MP4 and MKV/WEBM in Icaros.
Could you provide one or more samples with rotation metadata, that does not produce correct thumbnails?

After further testing, my mistake MP4s do work for me, but not MKV / WEBM. I've attached a random Youtube short, downloaded with yt-dlp and rotated with MKVToolNix. The video is rotated from portrait to landscape, but the thumbnail is still portrait. Clearing caches and refreshing doesn't fix it.

(On an unrelated note, it looks like either Github or MPC-BE is rotating them incorrectly, as both play it rotated in different directions lol)

I just checked this file and it actually shows up the right side up here.

How does it look on your end?

When you say "right side up", do you mean portrait, like it shows in the bottom left of your screenshot? If so that's incorrect, as the video's been rotated to landscape.

For me it still shows as portrait, when it should be landscape. The other file on the left is an MKV, which is showing as landscape when it should be portrait:
