This is the place to write notes for everything that needs to be said in the next release, to help avoid information being lost in the meantime

New panel widget : mixer, which displays the volume state and allows setting the individual volumes of sinks/sources/streams. Supports scrolling and some configuration of layout and actions per click, consult the wiki for details. Only works on pipewire-wireplumber. #307

Panel and widget icons : the icons are now of the same size as the panel itself when their size is set to 0. This is now the default for all icons. #328

Panel : tray widget : now supports setting a specific spacing between elements.

Dock : toplevel icons can now be laid out across multiple line
BREAKING : this breaks style that uses the out_box element. These styles can be converted by being applied to the box and enabling the full_edge configuration (see other changes)

Panel : menu : tweaked search entry behaviour for a smoother experience

Panel and dock : can now set minimal width option on top of height.
BREAKING : the option to change the dock’s height moved from dock/dock_height to dock/minimal_height

Panel and dock : autohide now has added settings to control how long the cursor must be in the hot spot before being shown, and out to be hidden.

Panel and dock : expanded position options to include left and right edges of the screen. In the case of the panel, non-textual widgets have an adapted vertical layout.

Panel and dock : extra layout options : always span the full edge (default on for panel), always center the layout (panel only), margin to attached edge.

Panel and dock : autohide now has a hotspot on the adjacent edges of other monitors, providing extra space to pop them out.

Panel : menu : the size of the launchers icon is now configurable.

New panel widget : workspace switcher, which allows for visualising and switching between wayfire workspaces. Has a few layout options and requires wayfire IPC to be enabled.

Not a release note, but a note for the release : update the screenshot in the readme, and probably add one for the locker.

It could also be nice to feature screenshots/short videos in the release notes to showcase the new features
