Do you have logo.avi somewhere in cstrike or valve?

Hi, logo.avi was located in valve\media. I renamed it and the "visual error" disappeared.

... That's not how the problems should be resolved though.

It's definitely our bug to render logo.avi when steam background is used.

Actually, that seems to be regression introduced in FWGS/mainui_cpp#144. @Razcoina removed the check for WON style backgrounds and even left the comment // logo.avi should be an independent asset from the background image.

But what I think happened here is that logo.avi existence should be checked regardless and we should just not render it when WON style background is not used.

Might be a good idea to check that both splash.bmp and logo.avi come from same directory too.

The splash.bmp file is nowhere to be found. Compare the pre-25th anniversary and post-anniversary versions; the latter contains logo.avi.

No, loading logo.avi with Steam-styled backgrounds is horribly wrong.

Hi @Razcoina , has the fix been applied yet? The same problem persists with CS16 build 3799, xash3d build 4011. It occurs with the latest Steam version in "CS Condition Zero" and "Opposing Force."
These mods work fine: "Blue Shift," "Darkstart," "They Hunger," and "Invasion." "Gunman Chronicles".

Indeed it should. I never saw the problem again now. Try xash3d build 4012. The problem was in the menu code, make sure you update all the engine files, especially menu.dll/menu.so depending on what system you are on.

@Virgondio This bug persists because the mainui_cpp submodule in CS16Client hasn’t been updated yet.

As a result, it appears even on the latest engine build, but only when CS16Client is installed.
