2025 release

Collecting a few tasks that need to be done before releasing the 2025 version:

• confirm authors
• update acknowledgements
• create cff
• create zenodo
• tag 2023 and 2024 as releases
• set up gh actions for loading build artifact
• update credits page with doi etc
• update readme with contributing info and other new info
• move to other repo
