Unable to use the plug-in due to something about Subsurface scale and Subsurface IOR

To be clear, I do not have any experience in this field, so sorry for your trouble in advance.
I tried to follow the video as close as possible but still ended up with this error:

(I'm currently using Blender 4.5.8)
I tried to plug a node in to the Scale socket of the subsurface and get a subsurface IOR error.

This problem is present in the older version too, but only the Subsurface IOR error
