[HELP] Simulate a Keyboard Event inside the Active Line

Hello friends!

I am in a rabbit hole because of this templater script…

activeWindow.activeDocument.querySelector(':focus').dispatchEvent(new KeyboardEvent("keydown", {
key: "e",
code: "KeyE",
keyCode: "69"
}));

As you can see, I am trying to type the letter e from a script.
❌This is not working 😭

BUT….. if I try to do the same script with the ArrowDown IT WORKS PERFECT ✅

activeWindow.activeDocument.querySelector(':focus').dispatchEvent(new KeyboardEvent("keydown", {
key: "ArrowDown"
}));

ℹ️ Obsidian Mobile on iPadOS using a external keyboard.

This is the core of a complex script that I am working on that will trigger a text replacement using the Various Complements Pluign from a keyboard shortcut instead of the traditional text replacement. The plugin will only triggers when I type

• In other words +tR does not work for this case.
