📱 iOS / iPhone User Guide

⚠️ Why AnkiMobile is a Paid App

The AnkiMobile app for iOS (iPhone/iPad) costs $29.99 (price subject to change). This fee supports:

🆓 Using Anki for Free on iPhone/iPad via Safari

You can use AnkiWeb through the Safari browser to review this deck for free on iOS.

Prerequisites

  1. A free AnkiWeb account.
  2. The Anki app installed on your computer (Windows, macOS, Linux) for the initial deck import.

📥 Installation & Sync Procedure

Step Action Details
1. Import the deck to your computer 1. Download the .apkg file from the main project page or via AnkiWeb.
2. Open Anki on your computer.
3. Go to File → Import... (or double-click the file).
4. Select the downloaded file. Your cards will be added to your local collection.
2. Sync with AnkiWeb 1. In Anki (on your computer), click the sync button (two circular arrows icon) in the top-right corner.
2. Log in with your AnkiWeb account.
3. Let the sync complete. The deck is now uploaded to AnkiWeb's servers.

No app installation needed on iOS. User experience is less fluid and offers fewer features than the native AnkiMobile app.
Perfect sync with your computer collection. Some advanced features (complex scripts) may not work exactly the same way.
