digest-io crate missing @ crates.io?

It seems something is wrong with digest-io @ crates.io. Only version 0.0.0 is available and lib.rs in the crate is empty. Is this correct?

What is than the recommended way to calculate the hash of a file, when at the same time io-functionality was removed from digest? RustCrypto/traits#1809

The current version of the documentation of digest recommends digest-io (https://docs.rs/digest/0.11.1/digest/#structure).
