First time GitHub poster, apologies for not following the template exactly, I'm just not sure how to fit this or what information/files could help with this bizarre issue. If this does not belong here, I apologize for my cluelessness.
Describe the Bug
Mod that replaces Mass Destruction (Reloaded) with a fanmade remix that keeps the Reloaded music/verses but swaps the chorus to the original vocals, stopped working. Mod link: https://gamebanana.com/sounds/73152 . Mod has not been updated at all in two years, so I presume the issue must be an update to either P3R itself breaking compatibility or Reloaded II.
Went on vacation for weeks, did not touch PC. Returned, started P3R in a Tartarus save, engaged in "SEES Advantage" battles without issue, standard P3R track "It's Going Down" plays. Entered a "neutral" battle or Shadow Advantage battle, where the modded Mass Destruction remix should play, and game freezes during the silhouette-transition-to-battle screen, crashes to desktop.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
- Fresh P3R install.
- Install the MD Remix mod (https://gamebanana.com/sounds/73152) and the associated Ryo Framework
- Launch game via Reloaded II (necessary for mod to work)
- Enter any Tartarus battle in "neutral" or Shadow Advantage.
- Instead of MDRemix playing, game will CTD.
Expected Behaviour
For the last two years, mod has worked without issue whatsoever when launched through Reloaded II. "Neutral"/Shadow Advantage battle starts, the replacement track plays as expected.
Things I've Attempted/Narrowed Down
-CTD only occurs if mod enabled. If disabled, game plays without issues, regular P3R Mass Destruction plays.
-CTD only occurs when entering a "neutral" or Shadow advantage battle. Even if mod enabled, all SEES advantage battles will play normally, as will "It's Going Down".
-Tried fresh install of mod, no fix. As mentioned, mod itself has not been touched or updated at all in 2 years.
-Tried disabling and re-enabling mod. No fix.
-Updated all dependencies. No fix.
-Ensured all dependencies were above this mod in the load order. No fix.
-Uninstalled P3R, all mods, and Reloaded II, re-installed all three. No fix.
My amateur, uninformed suspicion is like i said, the only things that have changed are P3R updates and Reloaded II updates so... I assume the issue must lie somewhere there. If this all incorrect, feel free to close/delete. Willing to provide whatever logs/screenshots needed.
