Week 1 Extra videos to show how to link up RStudio, Git and GitHub

Week 1 Lecture Notes. Introduction to workflow using RStudio and Git/GitHub. The session video will be posted June 2nd. Here are some additional short videos to help you link up RStudio Desktop and GitHub Desktop installed or RStudio Cloud and GitHub. Next week we'll start going into using more of the GitHub features.

• Connecting GitHub Desktop to your GitHub account. Video
• If using RStudio Desktop (recommended) Making a repo on GitHub and getting that into RStudio Desktop and GitHub Desktop Video
• If using RStudio Cloud Getting a repo on GitHub into RStudio Cloud. Watch the first part of the previous video if you need to see how to create a repo on GitHub. Video
• Connecting Git and RStudio Desktop (not recommended until much later). You can use Git inside RStudio (I do sometimes) but for 25 to 50% of people there is much suffering going this route while the set-up using GitHub Desktop is fast and easy. Notes, Tutorial, Video overview of the steps.
• Real workflow. This is a quick video of me working on the workshop webpage via RStudio. Video
