Make it easier to find and filter relevant exam sessions

Staff working with many sessions need an easier way to reach the sessions relevant to them, such as sessions happening today, this week, in a particular room, or during a particular time range.

Questions:

• Which of these views or filters would be useful?
• Would you prefer a view of all filterable sessions, a prominent view of today's or upcoming sessions, or both?

I’d find more flexible sorting and filtering options very useful. When managing a large number of sessions, it can be difficult to quickly find the sessions that are relevant without scrolling through dates that have already passed.

Some useful options would be:

• Sort or group sessions by day of the week (e.g., all Monday sessions together)
• Filter by date or date range
• Filter by location/room
• Filter by time range
• Filter to show only sessions that are full or have availability
• Hide past or closed sessions
• Filter by session status (e.g., open, closed, full)
• Quickly view today’s sessions or upcoming sessions

I think having both a prominent view of today’s/upcoming sessions and more granular filters would be ideal. It would also be helpful to combine filters, such as showing all open sessions in B349 this week between 8 am and 2 pm.

Other useful use cases could include filtering by course/exam, finding sessions with no reservations, or quickly identifying sessions with remaining capacity.
