Thank you for reporting this issue! We've confirmed the problem and submitted a fix.

The issue you described, where the import command wasn't recognizing the tilde (~) shortcut for your home directory, has been addressed. We've submitted a fix that properly handles file paths like ~/file.json.

The fix is now under review: CortexLM/cortex-cli#23
