[BUG] Sporadic FileNotFoundException error

Describe the bug you encountered:

Sporadically, when opening the app or after creating a new password, I get this error message at the bottom of the screen:

Quelldatei konnte nicht gespeichert werden: Exception_WasThrown, Java.IO.FileNotFoundException. Erneut speichern oder das Menü „Synchronisieren" verwenden, sobald die Datei wieder verfügbar ist.

Describe what you expected to happen:

Well, no error message...

I think it could help to know where you store your .kdbx. Is it saved locally? Remotely? Google Drive? ...

And how do you access it? Directly through the app integrations? Through the SAF?

Tbh, I have no idea where the app stores the database and I don't find the info anywhere in the app settings... but I have created a log which I'm attaching here:

Seems like the error occurs when I create, modify, or delete a pwd entry and sometimes on startup...

The log says it tries to access content://com.google.android.apps.docs.storage.legacy. Last time I checked you can't save a .kdbx on Google docs, so it is probably Google Drive? content:// indicates that you are trying to access the database over Storage Access Framework i.e. the file picker. 2 Options you could try and see if it still persists:

1. Access the file over the inbuilt google drive implementation. When doing that it should say gdrive://. Maybe it just has difficulties accessing it over the SAF.
2. Export a copy from you current database and replace the old one with this copy. Maybe the file is corrupted.

If those don't work, I have no idea.

Before proceeding I would advise you to create a Backup, by exporting the database. Better safe than sorry!

In the hamburger menu in the top left you can change the currently selected database.

I have no idea how to do that - wouldn't that be a change in the app code? I'm just a user...

My app doesn't have the hamburger menu... But I found the "Datenbank wechseln..." option on the start screen after closing the db. I exported my db to a local file (not to Google Drive) and am now using that as my db. Thanks for your help!

If you still want to sync the local database take a look at Syncthing.

In any case if you want to use the local database, I highly recommend creating a backup from time to time.
