some latex won't render on the docs

For the notebook at https://github.com/PerformanceEstimation/PEPit/blob/master/ressources/demo/PEPit_demo_algorithm_design.ipynb, the 1st big equation (Eq (1)) renders fine when viewed natively in the notebook, but not when viewed at https://pepit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/notebooks_folder/PEPit_demo_algorithm_design.html where it gives the error:

\tag not allowed in split environment

I think I saw the same error on another docs page as well.

(Also, the ressources folder is using the French spelling -- the English is resources. Not a big deal of course :-) )
