Description
Hello, I just found out about this app and it's already a gem for my needs and it works perfectly fine, thank you!
But there's a small problem I have: It's unable to get root access.
I use for root access SukiSU Ultra (which is a fork of KernelSU with some additional settings and improvements) and your app isn't somehow able to use root access with it.
Whenever I go in the settings for the installation method and switch to "Root" it just tells me that root isn't available on my device, even tho it is or should be.
Of course I granted root access to the app and force closed the app afterwards (since apps won't recognize root access before the app process doesn't get terminated), but it remains after that like that with no change - I also restarted once my device already, but with no changes.
I hope you can fix that little issue for me, would really appreciate it. :)
Steps to reproduce
Grant GitHub Store root privileges with SukiSU Ultra (normally like any other app I grant them)
Force close the GitHub Store afterwards, since it won't see root access before the app process isn't terminated (also applies for every other app)
Open the GitHub Store again, going into Settings => Install Method and switch to "Root"
Expected vs actual
Expected: Root access should be granted by now for silent installations/updates in the background.
Actual: Root doesn't get detected - Note below: "Root isn't available on this device. Install Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch first."
Diagnostics
- App: GitHub Store v1.9.0
- Platform: Android 16 (API 36)
- Locale: en-DE-u-fw-mon-ms-metric-mu-celsius
- Theme: NORD / System
- Installer: Root
- GitHub user: @mareliada
