Description

Type: Bug · Area: Other

Description

When I click the “Open in GitHub Store” button, nothing happens. The GitHub Store doesn't open, whether it's enabled or disabled.

I've tried installing it using both the EXE and MSI files, on different Windows accounts and different browsers (chrome, edge, firefox)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the GitHub Store
  2. Sign in to your account
  3. Open the link https://github-store.org/app/?repo= in your browser, for example, https://github-store.org/app/?repo=deltachat/deltachat-desktop.
  4. A browser notification will appear with the button Open app “URL:GitHub Store Protocol” - click it

Expected vs actual

Expected:

  • The GitHub Store opens with the desired app.
  • Or, if the GitHub Store is started, the specific app opens within it.

Actual:

  • Nothing happens at all (in Chrome and Edge).
  • An error is displayed (in Firefox).
