[Bug] Player often doesn't go in fullscreen

Describe the bug

When a random video is being played, once tapped a button in a bottom right corner of a player to go full screen, the player just rotates the video without playing it in a full screen. I have to exit a full screen and repeat a process once or twice in order for a player to fill the video over full screen.

It doesn't happen every time, but it happens on 8 out of 10 videos for example.

First screenshot is a standard player, while the second one is in a full screen. On the second screenshot the video is being played, but not over full screen.

Steps to reproduce the bug

Open any video.
Tap on a button to go full screen.

Additional context

Auto rotate on a system level is not enabled. It's in a permanent portrait mode.

Checked with NewPipe, as well Tubular (another NewPipe fork), and this bug is not present. Video goes fullscreen everytime.

Also I tried setting tablet mode off, but had no luck. If there's something else to try, please let me know.
