dxfBlocks

This is a repository for CAD blocks in a DXF file format. They were created for use with LibreCAD, but can be used with any CAD software that supports DXF. The blocks are primarily for architectural drawings, but also include a few other categories of blocks:

Notes:

  • All blocks, where appropriate, are oriented "down" or to the "outside" (e.g. doors open in; swing is up).
  • The unit of measure is inches and are drawn full-scale.
  • All block geometry is on the "0" layer.
    • Blocks inserted into a drawing will placed on the active / selected layer.
    • The pen attributes are 'By Layer'. When blocks are inserted they adopt the pen attributes of the current layer.

A template, "BlockTmpl.dxf", is included for adding your own blocks or for anyone who would like to contribute. The drawing geometry is on the "0" layer. Dimensions are optional.

To ensure that blocks included here are going to be compliant with the Creative Commons license, please DO NOT provide blocks that are not your original work or published on other sites.
