Need help in Backup recovery

Hi Team,

As we have defect dojo hosted on ec2 instances but deleted by mistake. but we have backup in s3 in form of sqlite. Need urgent help to recover that. Do you have any supportive documents where i can get the help.

Kindly look into this on priority.

Can you provide more information on your setup? In short you should be able to just build your EC2 from scratch and copy the sqlite database onto it and start Defect Dojo. Please note SQLite is not a supported database for Defect Dojo.

Hi valentijnscholten,

Below is the response received by my developer:

The previous instance snapshot from 2023 show a version of defect dojo using mysql. The backups were taken using a python script running on the instance not from defect dojo whichI had originally assumed. I'm attempting to get the older version running to see if I can import the data and maybe even perform a migration. As of right now there is a compatibility issue between the older mysql version and the current pgsql version.

Let me know your thoughts.
