Clarification on the Power script

Hi,

Now that is some impressive scripting! Thank you for sharing this with the community!

I am looking into adding power consumption after my battery is charged, meaning they also have to switch off when the battery starts compensating for extra usage. So when the battery percentage drops below 100% it should also start switching off devices.

Reading your power script therefore raise some questions for me.

1. How to add a check for battery percentage
   Start using only after battery % hits 100 and stop using when % starts declining
2. What is the actual difference between Devicetodisconnect and the Devaux lists
3. How does the script know the difference in devices to switch in summer or winter
4. Can i run this script without running the (entire) main script (because that would actually mean adopting your entire working scheme... 😅)

Hi Bart,
that script was made for the need of my house, and do many things, so it's not a good script example to use for your needs.

1. as I have no battery in my house, that function is not added
2. Devicetodisconnect is a list of devices that must be disconnected in case that the max available power is exceeded. In Italy we have only from 3 to 6kW available power, and in case that too many appliances are connected in the same time, the script try to disconnect wallbox, turn off climate, ....
   Devaux are the devices that can be enabled in case of extra power production... turn on dehumidifier, electric heaters, ... with the possibility to differentiate rules for Winter and Summer
3. to have scripts running on a old RPI 3 without having CPU100% all the time, there is a small script_device_master.lua that check which devices have changed, and call the longer scripts power.lua or alarm.lua ... based on the device name.

I suggest to write a new script by yourself, for your needs.
