@SallyMcGrath I'm assuming that Chris Owen's previous gist only worked because the main branches were protected. He was merging the local main with the remote template main and then pushing directly to the main branch on the origin. I don't think we can do this ( and even if we could, I don't think we should )
Alternatively, I can automatically generate a bunch of PRs that look like this:
